Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when DebtDefense ("we," "us," or "our") provides refunds. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and your signed service agreement.
1. Our fees are earned by the work we do
DebtDefense is a document-preparation service. Our fees are earned by preparing and delivering your documents and information — not by the outcome of your matter. Because the value is in the preparation work, a document's fee becomes non-refundable once you generate that document (Section 3).
No fee is contingent on any result in any court or arbitration, and no fee depends on whether you "win."
2. Full refund before you generate
Change your mind any time before generating your documents and we'll refund you, no questions asked. Up to the moment you generate a document, the amount you paid toward that document is fully refundable — you do not have to give a reason.
3. After you generate a document
Once you generate a document (for example, your court-response document or an arbitration package), that service has been performed and the fee for that document is non-refundable. Your full case analysis is always free, so there is never a charge to refund for reviewing your case.
4. Court-format promise
If a clerk won't accept a DebtDefense document because of its formatting, we'll fix it free or refund that document's purchase. This covers the document's format only — it is not a promise about the outcome of your case, which no one can guarantee.
5. How pricing works
Your price is set automatically from the amount you are being sued for and is shown before you pay. Smaller suits are one complete package delivered together. Larger suits ($2,500 and up) may be purchased as a single Complete Defense bundle or in two stages:
- Stage 1 — Respond & Defend covers your court response and core documents.
- Stage 2 — Make It Cost Them is charged only if and when you choose to proceed to that stage.
You are only ever charged for services you choose to receive. In every case, a document's fee is refundable before you generate that document (Section 2) and non-refundable once you have generated it (Section 3).
6. Custom quotes
For smaller matters we may provide a custom written quote. The same rule applies: refundable before you generate your documents, non-refundable once you have generated them.
7. Problems with your order
If something is wrong with a document we prepared — for example, it does not reflect the choices and information you provided — contact us and we will correct it. Our goal is to get your documents right.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us first so we can help. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
9. How to request a refund
Email us at support@debtdefense.app with your account email and order details. We aim to respond within a few business days.
